How to Choose a Solar Installer in Trivandrum
Use evidence and a comparable written scope to choose the right company for your property.

Define what “best” means for your project
The right installer should explain why a proposed system suits your electricity use, roof and budget. A ranking or a large headline savings figure cannot replace that explanation. Ask for a site visit and references relevant to your type of property.
A practical comparison checklist
- Review the installer’s relevant completed work and the scope they actually delivered.
- Ask for the proposed capacity and generation assumptions.
- Compare exact panel, inverter, mounting and protection specifications.
- Identify application responsibilities, inclusions and exclusions.
- Read product warranties and service commitments separately.
- Ask about monitoring, maintenance and escalation of service issues.
- Confirm how subsidy eligibility is checked and who submits which documents.
Read references carefully
A product supply relationship is not the same as a solar EPC project. V Power’s record identifies ISRO projects as solar work, Keltron as earthing work and Kerala University as fans and electrical product supply. Ask similar scope questions when comparing any installer.
Customer testimonials and project photographs are most useful when they relate to genuine work and have permission for publication. A stock solar photograph is not project evidence.
Put the numbers in context
Compare tariffs, generation assumptions, maintenance and financing treatment. Ask whether the quoted payback is simple payback or based on annual cash flows. A proposal that can explain its assumptions is easier to assess than one that only promises a zero bill.
